William Wates Memorial Trust gave a total grant of £40,000 over two years to the Lambeth Community Games.

Following on from a successful 2006 the Lambeth community games programme has strengthened and expanded its delivery across the borough. The principle aims of the programme remain the same; to overcome common barriers to sporting participation by reducing cost, doorstep delivery and opportunities to shape activities.

The Games still creates opportunities for young people to represent their neighbourhood in leagues and competitions and has successfully done so during 2007. Activities include street dance, league football and athletics.
